Back-to-School Clothing Drive Needs Sponsors
NEW MILFORD SPECTRUM -- Jun 28 2010 -- The United Way of Western Connecticut is seeking sponsors for its 19th annual back-to-school clothing drive.
The drive, which will run through Aug. 13, will provide new school clothes for children in New Milford, Washington, Kent, Roxbury, Sherman, Bridgewater and Warren.
Each child will receive two outfits, three sets of underwear, three pairs of socks, one pair of sneakers, one winter jack, a backpack with school supplies and personal care grooming items.
Children's sizes and color preferences, along with a list of items needed for backpacks and the personal care kit, will be provided. The approximate cost will be $250 per child.
