Letter to Editor: AIDS Project Thanks Day of Caring Helpers

NEWS-TIMES -- Jun 21 2010 -- AIDS Project Greater Danbury would like to send out a huge thank-you to United Way of Western Connecticut, and the Photronics team for their exceptional efforts and hard work during the Day of Caring on June 9.

The volunteers did an amazing job with cleaning our office thoroughly inside, together with a complete trimming of the outside. They worked exceptionally hard that day in a very professional manner and went above and beyond in their volunteering efforts. We are deeply grateful for those of you who put so much effort into that day.

AIDS Project Greater Danbury is a nonprofit organization that offers many services to the HIV/AIDS community, including extensive case management, assistance with housing needs, mental health counseling, support groups, substance abuse, financial assistance, HIV counseling and testing, youth and community outreach and education, and a needle exchange program.

We also own and manage a group home residential program for HIV/AIDS clients in the Danbury area.

The workers left behind not only a job well done, but a part of themselves that will be remembered and appreciated for a long time to come. Thank you again for making a difference in the lives of people touched by HIV within our community.
