Give an hour. Give a Saturday. Give your best. We all have special talents. Things we can do to help. And when we reach out a hand to one, we influence the condition of all. Whether it’s reading to children, or leading financial literacy classes for hard-working families, or delivering meals to homebound seniors, there are hundreds of volunteer options available every day. Give the gift of you. Volunteer.

How I Live United

Kim Karl has been an active volunteer with United Way for nearly 10 years, lending her financial background to United Way’s annual program funding reviews, and her human compassion to our many Day of Caring community projects.

Kim is inspired by local health and human service organizations and their commitment to positively impact clients’ lives. "Their commitment drives me to be committed and involved" she says. "The positive chain reaction keeps me coming back".

In addition to raising two children with her husband in Bethel, Kim has been an active mentor for many years. Most recently, her mentee of three years graduated from Bethel High School. "I volunteer as a way to give back. It's one thing to give monetarily, but there is a real satisfaction in taking action".

Take action along with Kim Karl and Live United today!
