Volunteer Center Logo

The Volunteer Center of United Way of Western Connecticut works to strengthen our region by connecting people to volunteer service opportunities and providing resources to nonprofit organizations.  Each year, we recruit thousands of volunteers to give their time and talent to the community and help hundreds of nonprofit agencies fulfill their missions.

Our Vision is to ensure that every child enters school ready to learn, that every family is financially stable and every community that we serve is healthy and strong. The support of our volunteers helps us to deliver on this vision.

BACK TO SCHOOL INITIATIVES
In 2013 in Greater Danbury, Stamford and Greater New Milford, 750 children received new backpaks filled with $250 worth of school supplies and new school clothes or gift cards to help them start the year off with the tools needed to succeed in school.

Our annual drives will take place in August 2014. For more information about a program in your community, contact:
