Another Successful Year at New Milford’s Stuff the Gazebo
The Woman’s Club of Greater New Milford and the United Way of Western Connecticut conducted the annual Stuff the Gazebo event on Saturday, November 2, 2019.
Approximately 25 volunteers worked from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the bandstand on the Village Green to accept food donations and load a UPS truck with the donated items. Items collected included pie fillings, canned sweet potatoes/yams, cranberry sauce, canned vegetables, creamed soups, stuffing, and turkey gravy. Monetary donations were also accepted.
Members of the Greater New Milford Woman’s Club as well as Boy and Girl Scouts and New Milford residents all lent a hand to make the event a success.
On November 25, 250 full Thanksgiving Dinners, including turkeys, will be distributed to New Milford residents in need.
Thanks to everyone who made this another successful year at Stuff the Gazebo!
