We Stand with the AAPI Community

United Way condemns racism and white supremacy in all its forms and expressions, and are committed to creating systems of justice and equity.

03.17.2021. Yesterday’s shootings in Georgia that have left several Asian women dead is just the most recent incident in an unacceptable wave of violence toward Asian American and Pacific Islander people in our country. We stand with our AAPI friends, family and community members—and everyone traumatized by violence and hate rooted in racism and xenophobia —as they process and mourn this tragedy and so many others across our country, especially over the past year.

Hate and violence have no place in our vision and work toward making our communities healthy, strong and vibrant. We condemn racism and white supremacy in all its forms and expressions, and are committed to creating systems of justice and equity.
