Donors

When you support United Way of Western Connecticut, it is a step in an enriching and deep relationship, not just a transaction. We value our donors as partners in our mission to strengthen our community, to ensure that every person and every home is healthy and strong.

You are the key to our success. Thanks to the generosity of donors like you, UWWC has invested your donations in initiatives and collaboratives that have proven results for our community.

While we have so much to celebrate, there remains significant needs in our community. ALICE, a United Way acronym which stands for Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed, represents a growing number of individuals and families who are working but unable to afford the basic necessities of housing, food, child care, health care, and transportation. In CT, 1 in 3 households struggle to make ends meet.

Your support allows UWWC to provide critical assistance to hard-working families in your community. Through our work in education, income, and health, United Way is uniquely positioned in the community to bring together resources and people, all working toward a collective goal. UWWC is focused on creating an environment where individuals and families are self-sufficient and can achieve financial independence.

Prosperous communities start with thriving families. We all win when a child succeeds in school, workers have solid jobs, families are financially stable and our communities are healthy and strong.

Your donation to United Way matters so much. Through our work  and collaborations with government and community agencies in the areas of education, income and health, we help ALICE and in turn, make our community stronger.
